French Meat Pie


• 1 pound of ground beef
• 8 ounces ground pork
• 1⁄2 cup finely chopped onion
• 12 cups of water
• 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 teaspoon allspice
• 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
• 1 double dough pie crust

*Directions :

 Combine beef, pork, onion, and water in a medium saucepan and mix well.
Cook, covered, over low heat until ground beef and pork are tender, stirring occasionally.
Boil potatoes in water to cover in a small saucepan until tender. behavior.
Add to meat mixture. Add salt, spices, cloves and pepper and mix well. Remove from heat.
Mashing mix using  potato masher. Roll the dough into two 11-inch circles on a lightly floured surface.
Place one piece of pastry into a 9-inch pie plate. Fill with meat mixture.
Cover with the rest of the pastry, roll off the edge and cut several holes.
Bake at 450 for 20 minutes or until crust is golden.
