Homemade Meatloaf


°1 1/4 C. old fashioned rolled oats
°1/4 cup milk
°1 lb ground beef
°2 large eggs, beaten
°1 pack dry onion soup blend
°1 cloves garlic
°1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
°3 tablespoons ketchup
°1/2 tsp.pepper
°1/4 tsp ketchup
°1 C. yellow mustard


Put the rolled oats in a large bowl and add the milk. Stirring to coat oats and let sit about 15 min to soak up milk. Add ground beef, eggs, onion soup mix, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and pepper. Use your hand and mix everything together, working the oats into the meat.
Once everything is together, place it in a 9 x 9 pan and form a loaf about 1 & 3/4″ thick. Placing in a 375 degree oven about 30 min. Meanwhile, prepare the filling by whisking the ingredients together. After 30 minutes in the oven, remove and brush with the filling and coat the sides as well. Returning to oven for other 10 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing
