*Ingredients:
° 1 box of angel food cake mix or premade angel food cake
° 1 small box vanilla instant pudding mix
° 1 tablespoon slivered and toasted almonds
° 1 cup sour cream
° 1 ½ cups of milk
° 1 box cherry pie filling
° 1 jar Cool Whip whipped topping, or homemade whipped topping, depending on your preference
*Instructions
FIRST STEP:
Baking angel food cake according to pack methods
Leave to cool then cut into cubes
SECOND STEP:
In blending bowl, combine sour cream, pudding mix & milk and beat to smooth and beginning to thick . put aside
In a 9 x 13 pan, using half of the cake cubes, lay a layer of cubes in the bottom of the pan
THIRD STEP:
Spreading ⅔ of cherry pie filling on cubes
Place remaining cake cubes on cherry pie filling
FOURTH STEP:
Pour pudding mixture over cake and spread evenly
Spread whipped topping evenly over pudding mixture
FIFTH STEP:
Garnish the top with the remaining cherry pie filling and sprinkle the toasted almonds on top
Chill 4 to 5 hours before serving
