French Toast Bread


•1/2 c butter (1 stick)
•1 c brown sugar
•12 slices  bread frensh
•4 egg
•1 1/2 c milk
•1 tsp vanilla
•chopped pecans or walnuts for garnish (optional but so good)
Powdered sugar for sprinkling


Melting butter in micro wave also adding brown sugar…strring to combine 
Pour  butter/sugar mix to bottom of a 9 * 9 pan….spreading around
Beat eggs, milk and vanilla. Spread a single layer of sliced ​​French bread in the pan. Pour 1/2 of the egg mixture over the bread layer.
Add the 2nd layer of bread. Pour in the rest of the egg mixture
Covering infridge overnight. Baking at 350 for 45 min (covered for the first 30 minutes). Sprinkle walnuts on top and bake uncovered for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
Serve with hot maple syrup.
