Candied pecans

As a snack, salad or dessert, these nuts are delicious.


 ° 2 tablespoons of butter
 °1/2 cup maple syrup
 °1 cup of pecans
 °1 cup of walnuts
 °1 pinch of fleur de sel


1. In a saucepan, heat the butter and maple syrup over medium heat, until the mixture is bubbly. Add the pecans and walnuts. Cook, stirring often, 10 minutes or until well coated and caramelized. Add the fleur de sel and mix. Spread nut mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let cool completely. (Candied walnuts will keep for up to 1 week at room temperature.)
