A delicious accompaniment to butter schnitzel is the recipe for mashed potatoes with fried onions.

* Ingredients for 4 portions

° 800 g Floured potatoes
° 100 g butter
° 190 ml milk
° 1 price salt
° 1 price Nutmeg, freshly grated
° 2 PC Onions
° 250 ml frying oil

* Preperation
Peel and cut the potatoes into quarters and boil them in salted water until tender, strain, allow to evaporate a little and press them in the potato press while still hot. 
Melt the butter over low heat and add it to the pressed potatoes. Heat the milk and gradually add it when it is hot and season with salt and nutmeg.
Peel and cut the onions in half, cut them not too thinly and brown them in oil.
