HOMEMADE SLOPPY JOES




This super easy Sloppy Joes recipe is one that has been passed down through the generations and features a hearty taste of classic 1940s dinner food!

* Ingredients
 
° 1tsp oil olive (extra virgin)
° ½ large objects, green pepper (diced)
° 1 small yellow onion (or white onion, diced)
° 1 lb Ground beef (I use an 80/20 ground chuck)
° 8 oz tomato sauce (1 can of 8 ounces)
° ¼ cup ketchup
° 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
° ½ Tbsp yellow mustard
° 1 Tbsp light brown sugar or dark brown sugar, more to taste)
° ½ tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
° ½ tsp garlic powder
° ¼ tsp onion powder
° 6 hamburger buns

* Instructions :

Preheat  large skillet, nonstick skillet or Dutch oven with a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add green peppers and diced onions. Sauté until tender.
sauté peppers & onions to tender.
Adding beef ground & permit stand for 5 min . Break up ground beef & keep to brown to almost golden .
brown the ground beef with the sautéed pepper and onion.
Adding sauce tomato, sauce Worcestershiire, ketchup, yellow mustard, brown sugar, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder. Simmer about 3 to 5 min  & sauce is heated through & thick .
Sloppy Joe mix simmering in skillet before serving.
Divided sloppy joes about 6 portions on rolls, toas-ted or not. Serving with  tranche cheese and / or dill pickle on sandwich.
